This is my reinterpretation of an eternal icon — and it stems from a meaning I have carried with me for a long time.

For me, the Girl symbolizes the success of those who carry their suffering with dignity, displaying them like pearls and turbans.

The pearl is not just an ornament: it is what is born from a wound transformed into beauty.

The turban is not just an aesthetic detail: it is identity, it is pride, it is presence.

In this version, the face is engraved in mother-of-pearl, a living and iridescent material that changes with light and makes each piece unique. The iridescent reflections pass through the image like emotions moving beneath the surface. Nothing is flat, nothing is static. It is a dialogue between art and matter.

The engraving follows the lines of the face with artisanal care, respecting the natural veins of the shell and allowing the light to complete the work. It is not a simple reproduction: it is a reinterpretation that breathes.

The setting, inspired by Victorian frames, envelops the cameo like a contemporary reliquary. It is made of certified 316L stainless steel, in the 18-karat gold-plated or silver-plated version, with a durable electroplating that does not discolour, does not leave marks on the skin, and does not cause allergies — designed to stay with you over time.
